rantum.xyz · last updated 22 September 2026

This site is the marketing site for Rantum Studio, a sole practice run by Andrew Maury in San Mateo, California. It publishes writing and case studies. It has no accounts, no login, no shopping cart and no contact form. If you want to reach us you send email, and that is the only way this site asks for anything about you.

What we collect directly

Nothing. There is no form on any page of rantum.xyz, so there is no field for you to type into and no submission for us to store. The contact links are ordinary mailto: links that open your own mail client. If you choose to write to andrew@andrewmaury.com, we hold that message and your address in Gmail for as long as we need it to answer you and to keep a record of the engagement, and we do not add you to any list on the strength of it.

What third parties see

Loading any web page tells the servers that serve it something about you. Here is every third party involved in serving this one, and what each of them receives.

That is the complete list. There is no advertising network, no session recorder, no heatmap, no chat widget, no A/B testing tool and no tracking pixel from any social platform on this site.

Cookies

The only cookies set are Google Analytics first-party cookies, and only on the four pages named above. Blocking them costs you nothing: every page renders and every link works with analytics blocked. You can block them with a content blocker, with your browser's cookie settings, or with Google's own opt-out add-on. We honour Global Privacy Control where your browser sends it.

What we never do

We do not sell or share personal information, and we have not in the preceding twelve months. We do not sell or share the personal information of minors under sixteen. We run no advertising and no profiling, and we do not use anything collected here to make automated decisions about you.

Client and engagement data

Consulting work is governed by the engagement agreement signed for it, not by this page. Client data stays inside the systems named in that agreement, and published case studies either use our own products or are published with the client's permission, with identifying detail removed.

Your rights

If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information a business holds about you, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for asking. If you are in the UK or the EEA, the UK GDPR and the GDPR give you access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection rights, and a right to complain to your supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for the analytics described above is legitimate interest in understanding whether what we publish is read.

Email andrew@andrewmaury.com to exercise any of these. For most visitors we hold nothing at all, because you never sent us anything, and in that case the reply will say so rather than produce a file to delete.

Children

This site is for a professional audience and is not directed at children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect anything about them.

Changes

If the list of third parties above changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. The page history is public in the repository that publishes this site, so you can see exactly what changed and when.
